He ran multiple teams for ING Bank in Europe and Latam, in charge of structuring and originating transactions. This included: Managing Director heading up ING\u2019s Leveraged Finance and Sponsor Coverage Team in Frankfurt covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Managing Director running the Cable TV Finance activities in Amsterdam, which was established under his leadership in 2001.<\/p>\n

Until end 2013 he was responsible for ING Bank activities in Brazil (as CEO) and Argentina and ran ING Banks Latinamerican structured finance franchise.<\/p>\n

During his tenure in Brazil Thomas was on the board of the Brazilian international bank association and President of the Dutch Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n

Thomas graduated from the University of Hamburg, Germany, in business administration (Diplomkaufmann \u2013 MBA level).<\/p>\n

Bert, a Dutch with roots in Latin-America had worked 30 years at ING and ABN with various responsibilities in general management or global head positions.<\/p>\n

Just during his 18 years at ING Bert was Global Head CB Asset Management & Asset Based Finance; Regional Manager Latin America and CEO in Brazil; Regional Manager Andean Pact, Central America & Caribbean, Caracas; and Global Head of Trade & Commodity Finance\/Commodity Related Project Finance.<\/p>\n

Since the early 80’s, Bert has served in different company boards and business organizations in Europe and Latin America.<\/p>\n

Bert has degrees in economics and finance from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, NL and Columbia University, New York, USA. He also graduated in Corporate Law, Harvard Law School, Boston, USA, (Magna cum Laude) and post-graduated in International Corporate Law, Harvard Law School, Boston, USA.<\/p>\n

Headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, he later covered the Latin American market from where different business opportunities arose, including structures seeking securitization in Luxembourg, new generations of financial products, SPVs, and offering tailored solutions for various types of projects.<\/p>\n

Mariano began his career working for PWC in the Tax Department, then continued working for BBVA (Suiza) S.A. in Zonamerica, UY, as a Financial Advisor, before moving to Europe.<\/p>\n

He studied Business Administration and Finance at the Universidad de la Rep\u00fablica (Montevideo), graduated as a European Financial Advisor at IEF (Barcelona) and completed other financial\/regulatory studies at Credit Suisse Business School (Zurich Campus).<\/p>\n
